Vega Vegavox Tenor Banjo


Vegavox 19 fret tenor banjo built by the Galaxy Company, which took over the Martin Company in 1979. In excellent condition with not much play wear to frets. The neck construction is mahogany with centre ebony strip and rosewood fretboard with Gibson style block MOP position markers. The neck is straight with low playing action and has the backup of a trust rod fitted. The peg head has a front rosewood laminate with the Vega name, star and floral MOP. The banjo pot is fitted with a Tubaphone tone ring, plus a deep rosewood resonator and a top-tension system. The banjo is loud and has a bright sustaining sound and is also heavy. Not too many of these banjos around these days, worth while trying out for yourself. Comes with vintage case. For Sale £980
