At Pure Banjo I offer a full set-up and repair service on all makes of banjos and other stringed instruments. Prices will vary from job to job, and from instrument to instrument. A best estimate will be given, but not until the instrument has been seen. Should the need for extra work become apparent during the job in hand, that work will not be carried out without your approval, both for the work and the estimated cost.  Should less work be required – the estimate will be reduced.

Strings supplied for tenor banjos are normally Newtone strings in either bronze phospher or nickel 12, 18w, 28w, 36w. Of course you can supply your own set if you have a different preference.

Banjo Restoration

Over the years, I’ve gained restoration experience on all the well know makes of vintage tenor banjos including: Gibson, Epiphone, Paramount, Gretsch, Bacon & Day, Vega….the list is endless! Also more modern banjos: Clareen, Dave Boyle, Emerald, OME etc.
.. and other instruments, including: Mandolins, Bouzouki’s & guitars.
