Paramount Style 1 Tenor Banjo made by the William Lange company in New York with serial number #10846 making the build date 1927. Dark stained maple neck with 19 frets, nicely carved volute, rosewood peghead bearing the name ‘Paramount Style 1’ in mother of pearl. Original figure 8 Grover patented geared tuners, all working fine and holding tune. Rosewood fretboard with good frets and low action. The maple pot assembly is exactly the same as the other Paramount models. Waverly style tailpiece and flat bar armrest. Fitted with a Remo clear head and new strings, maple/ebony bridge. The nickel plating throughout  is in great condition with no obvious pitting. There is wear through on the back of the neck and some surface scratches to the back of the resonator, which you would expect from a almost 100 year old banjo. This banjo sounds as good as its counter part models and comes with a used clareen foam case.

For Sale £1200
