Handmade Shortscale Tenor Banjo

Sully Session King model short scale 17 fret resonator tenor banjo built in 1995 by John Hullah and endorsed by Tony Sullivan. Fitted with a bell bronze flat head tone ring seated on a rolled 3/4″ solid maple rim, which gives this little gem its shear power and sustain. All parts are of the finest quality as you’d expect from Sullivan banjos, 1/2″ notched brass tension hoop with 24 hooks and rounded nuts. Kershner tailpiece, armrest, geared tuners fitted with ivoroid style buttons. Rosewood fretboard with MOP dot inlay position makers, good frets and low action. The nut width is 30mm and the scale length from the inside nut to the bridge is 20 – 3/4″. The flange has individual plates which are removable one section at a time to convert to an open backed if you so wish to. There are some scratches on the back of the resonator and a couple of little dings that you’d expect from a regular played banjo. All together a fine modern banjo that can accommodate a fishman pickup if you fancy using for gigs. Comes with a modern hardshell case.
