Gibson TB-100 Sunburst Tenor Banjo
Mid 1960’s 19 fret Gibson TB-100 tenor banjo. Mahogany neck with cream side-dots, rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Gibson silk screen logo looks fantastic & the geared tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 – 3/16″ nut width; 23″ scale length.
Maple resonator with back binding & finished in 3-tone sunburst. One-piece nickel plated flange with flathead tone ring & double coordinator rod. 11″ diameter Remo renaissance head with Gibson arm rest and Presto tail piece.
No serial numbers or Gibson badge on wooden rim which suggests non original pot. That said the sound is powerful, warm with nice cut and suits Trad playing.
Comes with original black faux alligator chipboard case with pink velvet lining along with the original hang tag! The banjo is in overall excellent condition and a firm favourite on the Trad session trail. A fantastic upgrade at a steal of a price!
