Fender Artist Tenor Banjo

This is the first Fender tenor banjo I’ve had through the shop. I have to say I’m very impressed with the build quality. The banjo is on consignment, bought by the original owner and kept in pristine condition.

The neck is made from walnut with a maple strip along its length, and along the 19 fret length of the fretboard are lovely pearl inlays of varying shapes which lead towards the beautiful headstock. Estimated to be from Fender’s 1970’s series.  The Artist model has a archtop tone ring set on a maple rim which is laminated in walnut veneer. Recently setup with new strings etc. comes with hardshell case.
