CID Solo Deluxe Tenor Banjo

I don’t have much information at present on the CID Solo Deluxe model apart from being produced in Germany around the mid to late 20’s. It certainly is made from good quality components and very similar to the style of the Vega tenor banjo.

This model is a step up on the basic student CiD model offering engraved gold plating and fancy wood marquetry on the back side of the resonator. 19 fret mahogany neck, ebony fretboard with elaborate pearl inlay floral patterns, white side bindings and white headstock binding trim with CiD branding. Gold plated geared tuners with ivoriod  buttons, all perfectly working and holding tune well. Individual flange plates, 28 hooks and nuts with engraved tension band, Presto tail piece and CiD branded armrest.

Frets are in good condition, setup with low playing action, new strings and new bridge. Altogether a nice sounding vintage banjo and very different to what is out on the Trad scene at present. Comes with new 19 fret black hardcase.
