Sully Session King tenor banjo

Sully Session King model 19 fret tenor banjo built in May 1990 (serial #09) by Tony Sullivan who won the All Ireland tenor banjo championship back in 1976. It’s quite a light banjo with a standard brass flat bar tone ring seated on 3/4″ solid maple rim, which gives this little gem a nice balanced sustain. All parts are of the finest quality as you’d expect from Sullivan banjos, 1/2″ notched brass tension hoop with 24 hooks and rounded nuts. Kershner tailpiece, armrest, Schaller geared tuners fitted with pearl style buttons. Rosewood fretboard with MOP dot inlay position makers, good frets and low action. The nut width is 30mm and the scale length from the inside nut to the bridge is 22″. The flange is the standard Gibson style. All together a fine modern banjo that can accommodate a fishman pickup if you fancy using for gigs. Comes with a nice fitted hardshell case.
